Start off your day at Kenye-Kenye Jamango (Sand Mosque) in Gunjur. It’s a sacred site associated with Sheikh Omar Futi, who was an islamic scholar. Legend has it that he prayed on the rocks before going to start up his empire. The mosque is built around the rocks. It’s on a beautiful scenic site near the ocean. People come from all over West Africa and abroad to visit.
